'Sir, Being called to Preston to morrow, upon his Majesties service, am constrayned contrary to my intentions and the summons I received from you to deferr my wayting upon you untill some other tyme you shall please appoint Except you think fitt to dispatch me upon the instrucions I have sent you by my servant'.
