Will of Lady Henrietta Berkeley

In the Name of God Amen The Eighth day of September in the Third year of our Sovereign Lady Queen Anne In the year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and four I Henrietta Berkley being in perfect mind and memory do make and publish this my last will and Testament. First I resign my self to Almighty God for his mercy hoping to be saved through the merit of my Saviour. And as to my worldly Estate I give and bequeath to my niece Elizabeth Berkley daughter of my dear brother George Berkeley the summe of one hundred pounds. And I give and bequeath to my dear Friend the Lady Christian Geare the summe of fifty pounds. I give and bequeath to the Lady Mary Walter her sister the same summe. I give and bequeath to the Lady Isabella Bruce the same summe. I give and bequeath to the Reverend Mr Knaggs ten pounds, To the Reverend Mr Bedford Chaplain to the Lady Christian Geare ten pounds. I give to Mrs Dudson daughter of Mr Archibald Lovott of Sepulchre parish the summe of thirty pounds. I give and bequeath to Mrs Ann Jones widow of Hugh Jones ten guineas. I give and bequeath to my maid Frances Duxbery Five pounds, if living with me at my decease. I give to Mrs Johanna Clark widow of Thomas Clark gentleman ten Guineas. I give to the poore such as my Executrix shall think fitt ten poundes. And of this my last will I constitute and appoint my true and faithfull servant Anne Lovett sole Executrix, Revoke all other heretofore by me, witness my hand and seal the day and year aforesaid.
